Parliament Solar is a 640MWdc solar project located just outside of Houston, TX in Waller county. We are expected to reach full operations in late 2024 or early 2025. Once operational, we will generate enough power to service ~140,000 homes.
Parliament Solar will generate great economic benefits to Waller County, totaling more than $35 million in county tax revenues over a 35-year period. An additional $7.5+ million will be provided to the Waller Independent School District as supplemental payments.
With an influx of citizens and industries moving to Texas every day, demand on the state’s energy grid has never been greater. Fortunately, Texas sits in a geographic and climatic “hot spot”, which allows it to cheaply and efficiently harness energy from many different sources – including solar – as part of an “all of the above” energy supply approach in Texas.
By diversifying its energy portfolio to include solar – one of the cleanest, most abundant, reliable and low-cost energy sources in the world – Texas is helping to reduce peak demand stress on the state’s power grid, while helping to decrease the country’s reliance on foreign sources of energy.
Texas is one of the fastest growing markets for solar power in the country. Parliament Solar will provide enough low-cost electricity to power about 140,000 Texas homes.
Parliament Solar is expected to create 300+ jobs during construction and at least five full-time positions once operational.
The project will generate substantial revenue to fund Waller County schools, roads, first responders and other essential community services.
